Speaking of technology...I often wonder if books will eventually become semi obsolete, or will everyone trade like an open library? I haven't bought a book in forever and with e-books and all the readers and stuff there has to be a switch coming someday. Maybe not in my lifetime but it seems like everything will end up on disks and drives. Amazon books seems to still be doing really good business although it seems to me that there won't bee many physical stores left. Borders can't be doing all that well. Well, at least not where I live. They picked the weirdest location and it's not an easy place to get to. Barnes and Noble should be okay though.
I still like going to bookstores to browse and actually see what it is I want to buy. It's such a pain to buy a book, find out it doesn't have what you're looking for, and TRY to return it. You have to handle it so gingerly as not to break the spine so they can accuse you of reading it. There was one time I was in line and this guy got a book as a gift, didn't read it, but wasn't able to return it or exchange it because it had appeared to be read. That just sucks. I don't think I would give a book as a gift anyway but if you're considering it, two words for ya...gift card. LOL
