Collections

We all have our fair share of collections in this family but one of them I never really understood is the coin collecting. One of my relatives likes to collect everything from military coins to the things you see on TV. I'm sure that they will be worth a lot of money one day but I've never really heard of anyone cashing in big on something like that. I'm sure it's worth it if it's something you really enjoy...it's kind of like all of the little things I stash away, although those aren't worth nearly as much money lol.

New Gift Giving

The one hard thing about having new people in your life is this time of year. I haven't quite known my BF that long, nor his parents, and I definitely don't know everything about them yet. This makes it difficult to get something thoughtful unless you are really paying attention. Being men, my BF and his dad tend to not vocalize what it is they'd ever like to have either, but at least I've picked up a few things. This year we are getting his dad some Rocky Patel cigars because that is one of his favorite brands and my BF...well, I'm not sure I will post that quite yet considering he may come across this at some point, but it's awesome LOL.

Winter Weather

I haven't ever really had to deal with bad winter weather. Where I come from it's a few showers, some wind, and what I thought was cold...until now. Some of the temperatures here will mirror the ones back home, but nothing back there gets as low as it does here. Sometimes I look at my widget and see a 20 degree difference and wish I still had that lol. My body is not used to the cold at all either, nor the constant blowing of dry heat. My skin won't stop producing and I'm becoming rough and chapped everywhere, which NEVER happens. The worst part is that I never leave the house either! I am definitely headed for a humidifier as soon as we get back lol.

Always forgetting Something

Guest post by Jewel Cole

There are never enough hours in the day. It seems like I am always rushing from place to place and never have enough time to get things done. Not to mention that in my rushing around I am always forgetting something! Last week I got to the grocery store and realized I had left my coupons on the kitchen counter. Yesterday I got to the gas pump without my debit card. How aggravating! Fortunately they don’t let you pump without paying first or I might still be there trying to work off a fill up for my gas guzzler. Luckily I have a Wireless HOME security that I can set while away from home. I can use the internet on my phone to see if I armed it and if not, I can turn it on. This little feature has saved me more times than you can imagine. Now if I could just use my phone to save my coupons and pay for my gas at the pump I would be all set—at least until I forgot something else, like my glasses. Of course, maybe then I could get my phone to read to me!

Outta Whack

I have a friend with a really sad story, she had a blood transfusion and ever since has had a plethora of health issues. She's been to numerous doctors and is now on an extensive routine of daily medications, for what they think is fibromyalgia. She has been trying to see if she can get some sort of medical malpractice insurance quote because she's thinking something went wrong with the transfusion but she doesn't know what. I really hope things turn around for her soon, especially the health problems.

A to B

Neither my BF or I drive, which can be a problem especially when it comes to traveling. We have a friend who drives us to and from the airport (which is awesome of him to do since it's an hour away) but it's funny because as long as he's lived here, he still doesn't know his way around very well. I think we're going to get him a nuvi gps so that he's more comfortable going around, especially when there is much more shopping the further away you go. I'm sure he'd love it and make good use of it.

Blink

Being Asian, one of the things we always have a bit of an issue with is our eyelashes. They are thin and most often, not that long. I was lucky enough to get a semi decent length, but I always was hoping they were fuller. I tried all sorts of different mascaras and even false lashes, but the results were far from natural. Over the last few years, companies finally addressed this and a number of eyelash growth formulas were brought out. I've always wanted to try one but it's hard to choose with so many out there and they can be rather costly. I think I'm going to go through some eyelash growth products reviews and start there. Hopefully I can find something suitable to my needs/wants.
